    Community Calendar Submission Guidelines

Have an event in Tulare? We invite local organizations, businesses, schools, service clubs, community

groups, and others to submit eligible events for consideration on the City of Tulare Community Calendar.

Our goal is to make the Community Calendar a helpful, reliable place to discover events and activities

    happening throughout Tulare.

    What Events Can Be Submitted?

To be considered for the Community Calendar, your event must:

    • Take place within the City of Tulare.

    • Be open to the general public. Events may require registration, reservations, tickets, admission

fees, or participation fees and still qualify. Private, invitation-only, and member-only events are

    not eligible.

    • Provide an opportunity for community participation or public benefit, such as recreation,

education, arts and culture, entertainment, community engagement, health and wellness, or other

    community activities.

    • Include complete and accurate event information.

    What Events Are Not Acceptable?

The Community Calendar is not intended for:

    • Private, invitation-only, or members-only events.

    • Political campaigning, electioneering, political fundraising, or events advocating for or against a

candidate, political party, or ballot measure.

    • General business advertisements, routine sales promotions, or listings primarily intended to sell

or promote a product or service.

    • Direct-sales, multi-level marketing, network-marketing, product demonstration, or recruitment

events whose primary purpose is sales or promotion.

    • Events or content that promote illegal activity or otherwise violate applicable law.

    • Content containing unlawful threats, harassment, hate speech or discriminatory content, obscene

or sexually explicit material, or advocacy of violence.

    • Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other legal rights, or that may compromise public

    safety or security.

Nonpartisan civic and voter education events may be considered if they otherwise meet the Community

    Calendar requirements.

Events organized or sponsored by businesses may be eligible if they otherwise meet these guidelines

and are open to the general public. Charging admission, selling food or merchandise, or having

commercial sponsors does not automatically make an event ineligible.

    What Information Will I Need?

Please provide enough information for the public to understand your event, including:

    • Event name

    • Date and time

    • Location

    • A clear event description

    • Organizing or sponsoring organization

    • Cost, if applicable

    • Registration or ticket information, if applicable• Website or other source for additional information, if available

    • Valid contact information so City staff can reach you with questions about your submission

Please review your information carefully before submitting it.

Contact information provided for administrative purposes will not necessarily be displayed publicly.

However, information submitted to the City is a public record and may be subject to disclosure under the

    California Public Records Act.

What Happens After I Submit an Event?

Submitting an event does not automatically add it to the Community Calendar.

City staff will review your submission to make sure it meets the Community Calendar guidelines. Please

allow up to seven calendar days for review.

During the review process, City staff may:

    • Approve the event for publication.

    • Contact you for additional or corrected information.

    • Make minor edits for spelling, grammar, formatting, length, accessibility, consistency, or clarity.

    • Decline the submission if it does not meet the Community Calendar requirements.

If your event is declined because information is incomplete, inaccurate, or does not meet these

guidelines, you may update the information and submit the event again for review.

Submission does not guarantee publication, and the City cannot guarantee that an event will be published

    within a particular timeframe.

    A Few Things to Know

The City of Tulare provides the Community Calendar as a public information service. Publishing an event

does not mean the City sponsors, endorses, recommends, or approves the event, organization, products,

services, or views associated with it.

Event organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their information and for obtaining any permits,

licenses, insurance, approvals, or other requirements needed to hold their event.

The City does not control or guarantee the accuracy, availability, accessibility, security, privacy practices,

or content of third-party websites or services linked from the Community Calendar.

The City may remove an event if it is canceled, contains inaccurate or misleading information, no longer

meets the Community Calendar guidelines, contains prohibited content or activity, or must be removed

for legal or public safety reasons.
